Diamond Glaze | 2 oz.

Ahhhhh --We cannot begin to sing enough praise for this, our all-time love of the adhesive world. Diamond Glaze is not only a wonderful water-based alternative to resins on the market today but it can also be used as a high-gloss sealer on most porous and non-porous surfaces. Paint it on with a brush and let it cure for 24 hours or more and it hardens into a glass-like protective finish that can’t be matched. It securely holds vellum, plastics, glass beads, metal charms, glitter and many other mediums. Unlike other clear adhesives, Diamond Glaze is mixable with dye-based inks, watercolor, pearlescent pigments, chalks and more.

Diamond Glaze is water soluble when wet and washes easily with soap and water. When dry it makes a permanent adhesive, difficult to remove. We recommend covering any work surface when using.

Hints and Tips for Using Diamond Glaze:
Bubbles...Good for champagne but not the Diamond Glaze!

1. Do not shake the bottle. If the bottle has been shaken, bubbles that are generated get trapped. If it sits for a long time, they eventually dissipate.

2. When applying Diamond Glaze directly out of the applicator tip, first squeeze a small amount onto a piece of scratch paper. The first amount of Diamond Glaze out of the applicator will have air trapped in the tube that can create a series of bubbles. Move over to the project you're working on without letting air back into the tip and continue to apply the Diamond Glaze.

3. If applying Diamond Glaze with a paintbrush, it's best to move your brush slowly and in a linear direction. If you move too quickly or in a circular motion, this can generate bubbles. Also, be sure the brush is free of excess water as that will mix inconsistently with the Diamond Glaze thus creating bubbles.

4. When you have a series of bubbles you can take a dry paint brush and pop the bubbles.

Do your inks bleed when you use Diamond Glaze? Since Diamond Glaze is water soluble it’s best to use it with permanent and alcohol inks. If you are using copies you must use ones made with laser copy toner, not ink jet.

Did you know that you can fill bezels and especially low-profile cabochon/frame settings with Diamond Glaze? If you don’t have access to a toaster oven or are using items that cannot take the heat that Amazing Glaze requires, then this is the solution for you! Since Diamond Glaze is water soluble you can use it like other heavy duty industrial resins on the market without worrying about the fumes and ventilation issues that are usual with epoxy resins.

Also available in a 10 oz. container and 18 oz. container.
